I have two major defense macros:

Low cooldowns:
/macroicon "Rampart"
/ac "Rampart" <me>
/ac "Awareness" <me>
/ac "Convalescence" <me>
/ac "Foresight" <me>

3min cooldowns:
/macroicon "Sentinel"
/ac "Bulwark" <me>
/ac "Sentinel" <me>


Then, instead of just adding Rage of Halone to my bar I use a macro in its place:
/macroicon "Rage of Halone"
/ac "Bloodbath" <me>
/ac "Rage of Halone" <t>

And here's my Fast Blade Macro:
/macroicon "Fast Blade"
/facetarget
/ac "Fight or Flight" <me>
/ac "Spirits Within" <t>
/ac "Shield Swipe" <t>
/ac "Fast Blade" <t>
/ac "Shield Lob" <t>

This way Fight or Flight always gets used and I can use it to pull as well as perform Spirits within and Fast Blade
